SeaView Systems’s SVS-603 wave sensor is enabling two new smart buoys to measure wave heights and other wave parameters in Lake Michigan. This new class of ultra-small ‘smart buoy’ is possible due to the small footprint and power consumption of the SVS-603. Scientists as well as the public benefit from the real-time wave observations for reasons ranging from coastal erosion to assessing conditions for fishing or recreation.
